A Good Music Teacher Will Path The Way To A Memorable Music Learning Journey
A music teacher is a flexible teacher who listens not only to the parent but also to the child. And I give this credit to my son’s current piano teacher. My son often laughs his heart out during the 45 minutes piano lesson. Not only he is patient, he has a good sense of humour. It certainly helps to keep him awake after an exhaustive day. Most important of all, he just know how to guide my son to produce beautiful music. He imparts rather comprehensive playing/finger technique to the student, even for lower grade students. Then, for almost every song he taught, he talks about the history of the music, how the music should sound like in various periods such as baroque, classical, romantic period, etc. He talks about the composer background, the instruments he played etc. BTW, I know so much in detail because he asks me to sit in the class, so that I know how to guide my son and not mislead him when he practises at home.
He also often holds recitals once every few months so that children are trained or getting used to performances. So far, my son performed in his two recitals this year, and a concert. And another recital is coming up at the end of the year.
If you are staying in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, please send me an email and I can provide you with his contact.
